How I help as an angel investor

I aim to be your most technical investor, from the first git init. I’m comfortable digging into distributed-systems tradeoffs, fundraising strategy, or building a top-tier engineering team. I’ve had a front-row seat through every stage of a Silicon Valley startup, from seed to IPO. I've made enough mistakes to be able to pattern-match what specifically works at each step.

About me

• I built the storage/compute infra team at Box.com, scaling it through 300x growth, and building several "Zero to One" $xxM products along the way.
• I led the backend team of Spanner, Google's exabyte scale database powering products like Gmail.
• I built a startup (Okay, YC W20, funded by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins) that was helping CTOs unblock their engineers at scale, and sold it to Stripe.
• I love SF and we live in the Castro with my wife, toddler and a boisterous dog.
